Wilkins and Frisselle looking forward to Mexico City 250

Woodbridge, Ontario (April 11, 2008) - With the next race at Mexico right around the corner, AIM Autosport drivers Mark Wilkins and Brian Frisselle are looking to take the lessons learned in Daytona and Homestead to put the Exchange Traded Gold #61 Ford Riley at the front of the field. The team had a good run at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in Mexico City last year and hope for better results with a good starting position.

Mark Wilkins had this to say. "Mexico was one of our best races of last season. We started last due to an electrical problem in qualifying but we had a good car. The race ran all green and that played out well for our strategy. It would be great if this year's race could be caution-free and we have a clean run to the finish."

Mark continued, "My personal goal for Mexico is to continue being aggressive and push hard. I'm very confident in the car and I enjoy the track. The 'S' curves are awesome and making the car work well in this section is rewarding. But the overall focus is on getting results for the team. Ian and Jim have been refining race strategy for the #61 Ford Riley and this should help us going into the next few races."

After starting P18 last year, the Exchange Traded Gold #61 ended the race P7.

Team mate Brian Frisselle offered these comments. "I personally can not wait for Mexico City. It is not only one of my favorite tracks to drive but also one I have had some success at. My career best Rolex Series qualifying came at Mexico City, when I qualified outside pole on the front row. Mexico also has some of the most passionate race fans, which makes for a great atmosphere at the track. Not to mention, the food is awesome!"

Team Principal Ian Willis had this to add. "We are looking forward to the Mexico City race as the race fans are as passionate about racing as we are here in Canada. Last year was our first trip to Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez and the track is very challenging with plenty of opportunities for great racing. The altitude plays a big factor in car setup and race strategy with the thinner air reducing horsepower, the effects of the cars aerodynamics and improving fuel consumption."
