Edwards on pole at
Miller Waiting until just the right moment, the AIM Autosport
crew put on a set of sticker tires and sent series newcomer John Edwards
out to qualify the #7 car. He would immediately set the pace and in
just three laps, take the pole for his very first Star Mazda race.
Edwards recorded a 1:43.650 at 105.864 mph with seventeen minutes left
in the session. The only driver to break into the 43's, he sits .691
seconds up on P2. The AIM Autosport Star Mazda crew is at Miller this weekend for the
first race outing with series rookie John Edwards. Edwards was quick
on Thursday but would pull out all the stops for official practice
on Friday. The AIM Autosport #7 would post second fastest time in the
morning session at a 1:45.126, just 1/10th off. In the afternoon session
edwards would top the charts with a 1:45.526. 1/10th up on P2.
