Burt started the session and was immediately on pace going P1 on lap five and holding that position for some time. Over the course of the first fifty-minutes the team made a few stops for what were basically minor adjustments to the car as Burt was reporting only a minor issue with rear grip while at the same time exclaiming, "We are really quick through that uphill left-hander! It is incredible!" Burt's times continued to improve throughout the session and put in his best lap, a 1:43.467 on his twenty-fourth and final lap. Mark would take the last half hour of practice to get some setup for qualifying later today. There was plenty of communication between Mark and the crew and on lap 35, Mark brought the car to pit lane for a fresh set of Pirelli P-Zero tires. The No. 61 was currently sitting P3 - just .187 out of second. Once Mark had some heat in the tires, he would put in his fastest lap and the fast lap for the car. "Everything went great" commented Mark. "That was a really good session and we can now make some adjustments in this afternoon's practice and be on our game for qualifying later on." There is a short fifteen-minute practice at 2:35 pm with qualifying taking place at 4:10 pm. Visit Grand-Am.com for live timing and updates.
